Job summary

Warren City School District is seeking a Home Instructor to provide one-on-one or small group education services to students in their homes, libraries, or other agreed locations.

The role requires an Ohio teaching certificate, knowledge of IEPs, and a clear BCII/FBI background check; the position is full-time with hourly pay of $31.87. Meet students in their home, library, or mutually decided location, or virtually.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current valid Ohio Teaching Certificate or License.
• Background knowledge of how to implement an IEP.
• Successful BCII and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one on one or small group education services to students
• Maintain effective communication with families and the home school
• Prepare work for students
• Assist students with academic work
• Make accommodations and modifications for students work
• Work with the Special Education Supervisor/Principal/teachers at the building to carryout services addressed in the IEP
• Meet students in their home, library, mutually decided location, or virtually
• Pick up and deliver students' work to their appropriate buildings
• Maintain the child's safety at the predetermined location for instruction.
• Never leave a child unsupervised, make arrangements with parents only, not students
• Abide by all State and Federal Guidelines for all students
• Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education
• Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director of Special Education, Building Principal or his/her designee
