Job summary

Dayton Public Schools is seeking a Home Instructor Teacher who will plan and organize instruction for students unable to attend in person due to medical reasons. You will work with principals and other teachers to design and deliver individualized homebound education that aligns with district goals.

The role requires current Ohio teaching licensure, U.S. work eligibility, and the ability to communicate progress with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S.
• Current and valid State of Ohio teaching licensure appropriate for the specific teaching position.
• Must pass Federal and Ohio background check as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an instructional program for homebound students in alignment with district goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and develop the program.
• Prepare lesson plans and provide individualized instruction.
• Provide parents with home strategies and progress updates.
• Coordinate reporting and grades with classroom teachers and staff.
