Job summary

Warren City Schools is seeking Home Instructors to provide one-on-one or small group educational services to students in Warren, Ohio. You will deliver tailored instruction, prepare materials, and maintain open communication with families and the home school to support IEP goals.

This position requires an active Ohio teaching certificate, knowledge of IEP processes, and a clean BCII/FBI background check. You will collaborate with the Special Education team, meet students at home or approved

Qualifications

• Must hold a current valid Ohio teaching certificate or license.
• Background knowledge of how to implement an IEP.
• Successful BCII and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide one on one or small group education services to students
• Maintain effective communication with families and the home school
• Prepare work for students
• Assist students with academic work
• Make accommodations and modifications for students work
• Work with the Special Education Supervisor/Principal/teachers at the building to carryout services addressed in the IEP
• Meet students in their home, library,mutually decided location, or virtually
• Pick up and deliver students' work to their appropriate buildingsMaintain the child's safety at the predetermined location for instructio.
• Never leave a child unsupervised, make arrangementswith parents only, not students
• Abide by all State and Federal Guidelines for all students
• Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education
• Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director of Special Education, Building Principal or his/her designee
