Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with IDD in Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. Monday–Friday with various hours; local travel may be required.

You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and transportation, while maintaining documentation in the electronic health system. We offer paid training, competitive pay, and growth opportunities in a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• On-the-job training provided for DSPs.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community setting.
• Assist with housekeeping, meals, personal care, and daily living tasks.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize client schedules.
