Job summary

Amedisys in Tennessee is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver in-home care for adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. You will use AAC and aural rehabilitation to help clients communicate more clearly and live more fully.

Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating disorders, providing preventive care, and collaborating with families and caregivers. A current state license, CCC-SLP, and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with eligible graduate coursework and CFY where required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
