Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat adults in home care settings. The role focuses on preventing and addressing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with AAC intervention for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Qualifications include an active state license in speech-language pathology, CCC-SLP certification with CAA-accredited coursework, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)* with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
