Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide skilled in-home evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders for adults. You will work with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety and quality of life.

This role requires an active state license in speech pathology, CCC-SLP certification, CPR, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with clinical practicum in an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders in adults at home.
• Provide AAC systems and aural rehabilitation for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers and the interdisciplinary team.
