Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG-owned company, is seeking a Smart Home Sales Technician to help customers select and use smart home technology. You will meet clients in homes, at retail locations and events, providing personalized recommendations and guiding them from consultation through installation and ongoing service.

The role offers a base pay with performance-based commissions, uncapped earning potential, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sales mindset with ability to build trust, uncover needs and close sales.
• Comfort learning and using smart home technology.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass post-offer background and licensing requirements as applicable by law.

Responsibilities

• Meet customers in homes, retail locations and events.
• Recommend personalized smart home, security and automation solutions.
• Generate leads, follow up with prospects and close sales.
• Install, service and troubleshoot Vivint smart home equipment.
• Educate customers on how to use their system.
• Represent Vivint professionally in the field and in communities served.
