Job summary

Visiting Angels Upper Connecticut River Valley, NH is seeking an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors in Brattleboro, VT and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible daytime hours and hourly pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, medication prompts, meal planning, shopping help, and transportation support. Benefits include PTO, mileage reimbursement, direct deposit, continuing education, and holidays off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks.
