Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join as 1099 Independent Contractors, delivering in-home care to energy workers. You will assess patients, educate families, assist with ADLs, and coordinate care in a flexible, independent setting.

You will administer medications, document care in the EMR, collaborate with case managers, and provide compassionate support to patients and families in their home environment.

Qualifications

• A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel and provide in-home care.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Ability to pass a state & federal background check.
• Malpractice Insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive in-home care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate your schedule with patients, plan of care, approved hours and preferences.
• Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Communicate with Case Managers and collaborating physicians or specialists for a unified approach.
• Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
• Provide emotional support and be a trusted presence for patients and families.
