Job summary

Varco Home Health, Hospice and Homecare is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to provide one-on-one therapy in patients' homes, helping them improve mobility and regain independence.

You’ll work under the direction of a Physical Therapist, assess progress, educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety, and document visits accurately. The role offers a flexible schedule and the autonomy to make a difference in the community around McAllen.

Qualifications

• Texas PTA license required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, and balance.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Document visits accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support patient goals and functional independence.
