Job summary

Varco Home Health is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to provide one-on-one home-based therapy. You’ll help patients improve mobility and independence while working under a PT’s direction in patients’ homes.

The role offers flexible scheduling, allowing balance with other work or personal commitments. Prior home health experience and Texas PTA licensure are valued, with strong communication and patient-care skills essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license is required.
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently in a home setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Kinnser/WellSky EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility and balance.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Document visits accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support patient goals and functional independence.
