Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver in-home visits in the Columbus area under a Physical Therapist plan of care. You will guide patients through exercises, gait training, ADLs, transfers, and safety while reporting progress to the supervising provider.

Family education on rehabilitation is also part of the role. The position requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification, a valid driver’s license, and about one year of home health experience.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted PTA licensure in the state of practice.
• Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
• One year of professional PTA experience in home health or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home patient visits based on the plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and aid patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising provider.
• Educate patients and families on participation and rehabilitation activities.
