Job summary

Iowa Home Care is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in Webster City, IA. The role focuses on improving mobility, strength, safety, and independence for patients while supporting them to stay at home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments in patients' homes under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and safety.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and functional mobility activities.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses to treatment and progress toward established goals.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate care and communicate changes in patient condition.
