Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Preventive Care Medical Assistant to perform in-home visits focused on preventive care services. You will travel to patients’ homes, collect specimens, perform basic diagnostic checks, and document care in EMR systems to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and Basic Life Support certification; RMA or CCMA is preferred. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• The ability to leverage technology and EMR systems for documentation.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• RMA or CCMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patients’ homes throughout your assigned service area.
• Deliver patient centered, low acuity in-home visits focusing on preventive care services.
• Perform venipuncture for lab tests and properly label and transport specimens.
• Take vital signs and conduct preventive screenings.
• Document care and interactions in EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain infection control and ensure a clean, safe environment.
