Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a local contract Physical Therapy Assistant for a local contract job in Falmouth, Maine. The PTA will provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting, evaluating and treating patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to increase independence and function.

The role offers a flexible schedule in various home-based settings and requires a valid license and reliable transportation to patient residences.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state of practice or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to patients’ residences.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedules, and completes timely clinical and billing documentation.
• Works with the rehab team to implement programs aligned with each patient’s needs and capabilities.
• Assists the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and families in treatment techniques under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated and reports equipment needs for repair.
• Puts patient service first by delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
• Implements each patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the PT.
• Provides treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, and other modalities.
