Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a local contract Physical Therapist for Waterville, Maine.

The role focuses on outpatient rehabilitation delivered in the patient’s home or in an independent living setting, evaluating and treating older adults to restore function and promote independence. The therapist will develop and implement therapy programs, educate patients and caregivers, and coordinate with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field with appropriate bachelor’s degree options.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy with at least 5 years of PT experience.
• Foreign degree evaluated to U.S. equivalence if earned outside the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PTAs, temporary licensees, students and support staff as allowed by state licensure.
• Maintain adherence to treatment schedule, clinical documentation, and meetings.
• Evaluate patients and design personalized PT programs for home-based rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise and safety.
• Collaborate with rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic approaches.
