Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Two years' technical experience: Preferred
• Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting: Preferred
• PTA licensure in all applicable states: Required
• CPR/BLS certification: Required
• Valid Driver's License: Required
• The duties include physical therapy treatments, supervision, and documenting patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy treatments, including modalities, manual techniques and exercises.
• Guides patients through bed mobility, transfers and gait/balance activities.
• Observes treatment precautions and notifies supervising staff of changes.
• Documents patient interventions and chart updates in the acute care setting.
• Educates patients and caregivers, tailoring to learning styles.

Skills

Two years' technical experience
