Job summary

Adventist Health seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver in-home and facility-based therapy under supervision of licensed PTs, applying modalities and therapeutic exercises. Instructs patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait, balance activities, and documents interventions in charting.

This role requires CPR/BLS, state licensure compliance, and a patient-centered approach to restore mobility and independence in a home health/hospice setting across California locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's/Technical Degree preferred.
• Two years' technical experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• PTA licensure required in all applicable states.
• Valid driver's license and must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy treatments under supervision of licensed PTs.
• Instructs patients through functional activities and exercises.
• Documents interventions and patient progress in medical records.
• Educates patients and caregivers, tailoring to learning style.
