Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatments under licensed therapists, guiding patients in bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities. The role includes documenting interventions and educating patients and caregivers in a home health/hospice setting across multiple states as applicable.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with preferred Associate's/Technical degree and two years of technical experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Associate's/Technical degree preferred.
• Two years' technical experience preferred.
• Experience in therapy in acute care, acute therapy unit, or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy treatments under supervision, using modalities, manual techniques and exercises.
• Instructs patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities.
• Observes treatment precautions and reports changes to supervising therapists or nurses.
• Provides daily charting and documentation of interventions and services.
• Educates patients and caregivers, tailoring to learning styles.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Two years' technical experience
