Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, via Caretenders (LHC Group), is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for home care. The role includes treating patients under the plan of care, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified hires and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health, well-being, and work-life balance.

Primary responsibilities include executing therapy under PT guidance, educating patients and families, and coordinating care with the health team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to dependable transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and transfer training.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Instructs patient, family, and other health care team members in therapy areas within scope.
