Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice invites veterinarians to deliver compassionate in-home end-of-life care across the Houston area, including Katy, Richmond, and surrounding communities. You will provide euthanasia and hospice services with a focus on patient comfort, family communication, and ethical, individualized care.

The role accommodates a part-time, self-managed schedule with opportunities for production-based bonuses, mileage reimbursements, and a supportive team committed to work–life balance.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Weekend availability on a rotational basis.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
• Demonstrated compassion, dignity, and respect for all clients and pets.
• Strong communication with teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to patients.
• Communicate clearly with pet families and care teams.
• Maintain compassionate, professional care during end-of-life visits.
