Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home care to adults and seniors, promoting safety, independence and daily living support. No experience needed—we provide training and ongoing supervision.

As a PSS you will assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes. Flexible schedules and full-time or part-time opportunities are available to fit your life.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required - training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including safe movement with or without mobility aids.
• Help with household tasks related to care, including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Follow all instructions and perform only tasks listed in the client's service plan.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactions.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
