Job summary

MaineTouch seeks Personal Support Specialists to provide in-home, non-medical care for adults and seniors. You’ll assist with daily living tasks, promote safety, and support independence in clients' homes or residences.

No experience is needed—we train and support you. We offer flexible full-time or part-time shifts, ongoing supervision, and career growth opportunities; mileage reimbursements apply when eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old and able to work independently.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required – training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
• Support mobility and transfers safely, with or without aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Provide companionship and engage in daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe changes and report to supervisor promptly.
• Follow the client’s service plan and retain confidentiality.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
