Job summary

MaineTouch is seeking Personal Support Specialists to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors, promoting safety, independence, and comfort in their homes. You will work with clients according to each authorized plan of care, performing personal care tasks, mobility support, and daily living activities with dignity and respect, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Background in personal care or desire to learn.
• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers with/without mobility aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor; follow client service plan.
