Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors. You will work independently in client homes, following each client's plan of care and MaineTouch guidelines.

No experience is required as training and ongoing support are provided. This role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts, along with mileage reimbursement where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA accepted.
• No experience required - training provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene).
• Support mobility and transfers with or without aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal prep, serving, groceries, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and help with daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation on time and accurately.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines and client service plan.
