Job summary

MaineTouch is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide non-medical, in-home care for adults and seniors. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal prep, and companionship in clients' homes, while following individualized care plans and MaineTouch policies.

No prior experience required; we provide training, supervision, and opportunities for career growth; full-time and part-time roles available with day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Active PSS certification in the State of Maine, or willingness to enroll within 60 days.
• Good communication and independent work capabilities.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers using safe methods.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and linens.
• Assist with meal prep, serving, errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and help with daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisor.
• Document actions accurately and on time; follow care plan.
