Job summary

Avid Health at Home, LLC is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide in-home non-medical assistance under supervision of a Clinical Manager and RN. The role emphasizes ADL/IADL support, personal care, meal planning, light housekeeping, and companionship.

The PCA collaborates with care teams and adheres to HIPAA and safety policies. The position requires current PCA certification and NC nursing board licensure, with CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current PCA certification is required.
• Licensed/registered with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Compliant with all regulations and company policies.
• CPR certification preferred or may be required for some clients.
• Must meet transportation, language and branch-specific requirements.
• Strong reading/writing ability and maturity to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL and IADL support per physician and care plan.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene.
• Assist with toilet, continence, transfers, and ambulation.
• Support client with therapy exercises under supervision.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal planning per dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and accompany to appointments as needed.
• Document shift details within established timeframes.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
