Job summary

Avid Health at Home, LLC is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support clients in their homes in Morganton, NC. Under supervision of a Clinical Manager and RN, the PCA delivers selected personal care services and related household tasks per the client’s plan of care.

The position emphasizes ADL/IADL support, companionship, and adherence to HIPAA while maintaining safety and confidentiality. Flexible, variable hours with non-exempt classification.

Qualifications

• Current NC Board of Nursing licensure or eligibility.
• Current PCA certification required.
• CPR preferred and may be required for some clients.
• Must meet transportation, language, and cultural requirements of branch.
• Ability to read, write, and carry out directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) per physician's plan and care plan.
• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing) and assist with mobility.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Provide companionship and stimulation; accompany to appointments as needed.
• Remind client to self-administer medications; do not administer medications.
• Document shift details accurately within time parameters.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality; adhere to HIPAA and agency policies.
• Observe client condition changes and report to supervisor.
