Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation To You is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver outpatient rehabilitation services in-home for older adults. The role includes services in private residences or independent living facilities, with a flexible schedule across varied settings.

The OTA will implement OT programs under supervision, document care, and support functional independence. A valid state license and reliable transportation are required; compensation is posted as $35.00–$44.00

Qualifications

1. Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
2. Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residences.

Responsibilities

1. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
2. Adheres to department and patient treatment schedule, with timely clinical and billing documentation and related meetings.
3. Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities suited to each patient.
4. Instructs patients, families and caregivers in OT techniques under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
5. Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
6. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports equipment repair needs.
7. Puts Patient Service First: ensures high-quality care in a compassionate setting.
8. Implements a patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the OT.
9. Provides OT interventions in areas such as cognitive skills, strength, mobility, balance, ADLs, and more.
10. Performs other related duties as required.
