Job summary

Giving Home Health Care seeks a compassionate Nurse (RN or LPN) in Alcalde, NM to provide patient care per physician plans in a patient’s home. This is a 1099 contract, in-home position with 9-hour days (6am–3pm) Monday through Saturday.

The role collaborates with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and physicians to advocate for patients and deliver one-on-one care. Background checks are required, with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university; Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State or Compact License as RN or LPN.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB test and physical examination.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
• Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
• Document care provided in the system of record.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Perform activities of daily living as needed.
• Monitor vitals and GI intake/output.
• Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
• Observe changes in patient condition and progression.
• Communicate with family, physicians, case managers, and others.
