Family Best Care in Washington is seeking an experienced in-home caregiver for an ongoing Harstine Island assignment in the Shelton area. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule providing one-on-one care for a client with memory care needs.

We seek a patient, observant caregiver who can support daily routines and respond calmly as needs change. The ideal candidate will have professional caregiving experience, a Washington HCA/CNA/NAC credential, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Prior professional caregiving experience.
• Memory care experience or ability to support memory-impaired client.
• Calm, patient, and attentive communication while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Arrives on time and stays for full scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide memory care support, companionship, and meaningful engagement.
• Offer calm reassurance and gentle redirection as needed.
• Help maintain consistent daily routines.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene).
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention per care plan.
• Prepare meals and encourage hydration and nutrition.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition or care needs.
• Complete light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Follow the care plan and document accurately and timely.
• Communicate concerns and updates to the office promptly.
