Job summary

Family Best Care is seeking an experienced caregiver for an ongoing in-home assignment on Harstine Island, Shelton, WA. The role follows a Wednesday–Friday schedule from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 24 hours per week, with a focus on one-on-one care for a client with memory care needs.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and able to provide companionship, daily living assistance, and calm redirection.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement.
• Support memory care needs with patience, reassurance, and redirection.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene).
• Maintain consistent daily routines.
• Prepare meals and ensure hydration and nutrition.
• Provide mobility assistance and fall prevention as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition or care needs.
• Complete light housekeeping related to client care.
• Follow care plan and document actions accurately and timely.
• Maintain professional communication with Family Best Care office.
