Job summary

Georgia Families in Transition is seeking an Intensive Family Intervention Therapist to provide in-home individual and family mental health counseling for children and adolescents at high risk. You will use evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to support families and prevent out-of-home placement.

The role requires travel up to Gwinnett County, GA, after-school hours and weekends, full-time schedule, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field with at least 2 years of experience.
• Must be license eligible with current GA licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or licensure pursuit.
• Ability to pass DBHDD background check before services.
• Available to travel to Gwinnett County area; full-time with flexible after-school hours and weekends.
• Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI training within 30 days (Relias provided).
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and meet clients in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive in-home individual and family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• Coordinate care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team and crisis intervention as needed.
• Attend weekly individual supervision with team lead.
• Meet productivity and documentation standards; ensure 90% face-to-face contact; 24/7 on-call availability.
• Travel to client homes and community locations as required.
