Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home infusion nursing services for an infusion client in Michigan, every 4 weeks for 2 hours. You will work under the state Nurse Practice Act and agency policies, delivering high-quality care with a focus on safety and patient-centered outcomes.

The role requires an accredited nursing education, current RN license in the practice state, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with appropriate auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice.
• Proficient in various infusion and injectable medications, including IV starts and accessing infusion ports.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assume accountability for professional nursing practice, following the state Nurse Practice Act and home health standards.
• Conduct physical assessments, including client admissions and reassessments, as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Report changes in the client condition to the medical practitioner and care team promptly.
• Contribute to the development and adjustment of client care plans.
• Demonstrate technical nursing competency, especially in administering infusions, injectables, and IV access.
• Practice nursing with respect for individual, cultural, and spiritual differences, adhering to Agency policies.
• Promote safety, infection control, and continuous quality improvement in client care.
• Maintain confidentiality and engage in ongoing professional development.
