Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking Associate Veterinarians to provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care. You will work independently in the field while supported by a collaborative medical leadership team and strong operational infrastructure.

This privately owned practice emphasizes compassion, dignity, and respect, with no non-compete, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth within a caring, family-centered culture.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, or BVMS from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active (or ability to obtain) veterinary license in the state of practice.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Availability to work some weekends on a rotating schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Background check and MVR check post-hire and prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free-aligned manner.
• Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings Medical leadership and support teams.
• Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.
