Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinarians to serve families across Omaha, Papillion and Bennington, Nebraska. This role offers clinical autonomy, meaningful client relationships, and the opportunity to practice compassionate end-of-life care in clients' homes.

You must hold a DVM or equivalent, be licensed in the relevant state(s), and be able to travel to scheduled visits.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, BVMS, or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia within your service area.
• Travel to scheduled appointments independently in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Perform examinations, assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and documentation.
