Job summary

Alliance for Care at Home is seeking a Hospice Aide/Homemaker to provide compassionate, in-home care for patients at life's meaningful moments. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and personal care to help patients maintain quality of life in their own homes.

You will travel daily within the Highland / Fenton / Clarkston / Lake Orion / Troy / Rochester Hills area, working with nurses and the care team to tailor care to each patient’s needs and maintain comfort and

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• 16 hours of classroom must be completed prior to 16 hours of practical training.
• Must hold current Nurse Aide certification and be in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene).
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
• Travel within service area to provide in-home care.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support patient needs.
