Job summary

Zenith Hospice Care is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual care in the home for terminally ill patients and their families. You will assess spiritual needs and offer counseling to address them, and you will help arrange visits by local clergy and other spiritual supporters while participating as a core member of the IDG/IDT.

The role requires travel to patient homes and other facilities, with emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity preferred.
• One year of chaplain experience in healthcare preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of community spiritual resources.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if using personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to terminally ill patients and their families in home settings.
• Assess spiritual needs and counsel to meet those needs.
• Facilitate visits by local clergy or pastoral counselors; participate in the IDG/IDT as a core member.
