Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Northern Virginia is seeking experienced, certified educators to provide personalized, in-home tutoring for high school students in grades 9–12 in the Fair Oaks area. Tutors work directly with students in their homes, delivering focused, one-on-one instruction and supporting multiple subject areas.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and Virginia teaching credentials, with classroom teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and Virginia teaching credentials.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience with high school students.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and subjects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home instruction to high school students.
• Support Algebra, Calculus, English, languages, sciences, and more.
• Adapt lessons to each student’s needs and reinforce classroom concepts.
• Assist with homework, study skills, and test preparation.
• Travel to students’ homes and maintain professional relationships.
