Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join as 1099 Independent Contractors, delivering compassionate in-home care. You will assess patients, educate families, and coordinate care with case managers in a flexible, independent role.

Hybrid/remote opportunities are not available as visits occur at patients' homes, with a focus on holistic, person-centered care and strong community involvement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel and provide in-home care.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Professional liability coverage is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a warm, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver personalized in-home care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate schedules with patients according to their care plan and preferences.
• Monitor patient symptoms and report changes promptly to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Communicate with Case Managers and collaborating physicians to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families as a trusted presence.
