Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Collinsville, VA seeks compassionate Home Health Personal Care Aides – PCA to provide one-on-one care in clients’ homes across Rocky Mount and surrounding areas. You’ll assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and help maintain independence and safety while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Roles include direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PCA certificate from an approved program required.
• Current tuberculosis test required before start date.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members
