Job summary

INTERIM HEALTHCARE INC. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one in-home care in Bedford, VA and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, or PRN options and weekly pay based on experience.

The PCA will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, monitor health, and report changes to the care team. The position emphasizes independence, safety, and quality of life for clients in a home

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• PCA certificate from an approved program required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members.
