Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Vinton, VA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide one-on-one in-home care for clients across Vinton and surrounding areas.

The role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to support clients in maintaining independence, comfort, and safety. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, manage light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and dependable caregiver with strong communication.
• Must have a PCA certificate and be able to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation required for in-home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members
