Job summary

We are seeking compassionate Home Health Personal Care Aides – PCA to provide one-on-one care for clients in home settings around Vinton and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and help maintain independence and safety with flexible scheduling.

The role emphasizes compassionate, dependable care, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and certification requirements apply, with competitive pay and weekly deposits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• PCA certificate from an approved program required
• Current tuberculosis test required before start date
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in a home setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation assistance
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in client condition
• Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
• Offer companionship and participate in activities clients enjoy such as reading, games, puzzles, and hobbies
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members
