Job summary

Parx Home Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team in Florida. You will provide personalized care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities, meals, medication reminders, and companionship.

A valid HHA certification and 1+ year of experience are required. You will work with a healthcare team, monitor vital signs, and ensure a safe living environment while maintaining dignity and independence for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State-approved training program for Home Health Aides.
• Valid Home Health Aide certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide.
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients and their families.
• Ability to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse background screening in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Remind individuals to take medications and assist with administration.
• Monitor vital signs and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Perform light household tasks for a clean and safe living environment.
• Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary requirements.
• Engage in meaningful, compassionate conversations with clients.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
