Fireside Hearth & Home in Madison, WI is hiring a Service Technician to provide in-home service calls for fireplaces, inserts, stoves and facings. You will diagnose and repair components, startup fireplaces, and orient homeowners while delivering quality service.

No prior fireplace repair experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Strong hand and power tool skills, mechanical aptitude, and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• No experience repairing fireplaces required; you will learn on the job.
• Experience with hand and power tools, mechanical aptitude, and strong customer service.
• HVAC or electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; 18+ with valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Tablet/Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair fireplace components to specifications.
• Initiate fireplace startups and perform homeowner orientations.
• Learn Fireside's product line to upsell after-market service parts and accessories.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure quality service.
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures.
