Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Home Visitor to support families in their community, focusing on early childhood health and development. You will partner with parents to provide advocacy, support and coordinated services using trauma-informed care and a curriculum-based approach.

The role emphasizes full training on the Parents as Teachers program and delivering home visits with fidelity to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• AA degree in a related field with two years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years' experience with low-income families with children birth through five in homes.
• Bilingual preferred (Karen, Hmong, Somali, or Spanish).
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).
• Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle.
• Knowledge of case management and client advocacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to support health and development of young children.
• Collaborate with parents/caregivers to provide support, advocacy and service coordination.
• Deliver the Parents as Teachers program in full fidelity.
