Job summary

State of Nevada's DCFS Ely office seeks a Family Support Worker 3 to provide in-home assistance, plan daily routines for families, and monitor client well-being. The role involves observing for abuse or neglect, reporting findings, and coordinating referrals with social service agencies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws, welfare programs, and agency policies.
• Ability to observe signs of abuse/neglect and report to supervisor.
• Ability to develop home routines and teach basic homemaking and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular personal care and daily living support to clients.
• Assist in establishing healthy eating habits and personal hygiene.
• Perform household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and budgeting assistance.
• Plan nutritious meals aligned with clients’ cultural and economic needs.
• In-home intensive support for elderly clients in protective settings.
