Job summary

New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) seeks an Intensive Family Intervention Services Worker to assess safety, develop in-home service plans, and coordinate with families and community providers. Travel across the state is required to fulfill assignments and support children’s well-being.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration with caregivers, maintaining documentation, and using standardized tools to guide assessments and plan development.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology from an accredited college/university.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Family Studies from an accredited college/university and two (2) years of related experience.
• May substitute education/experience totaling six (6) years for the required degree or licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home Services for children and youth to reduce risk and promote safety.
• Conduct ongoing case activities to create plans and ensure well-being.
• Provide case management services, document in case record system, and complete required paperwork.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure quality, safe services to families.
